The New ADDition Foundation was formed to help address the challenges associated with early childhood development issues adversely impacting inner-city youth. Our focal point has been to have a hand in capturing many of these development issues early and through activate participation institute an array of programs around the community needs, for the betterment of the child. Also under Governor Perry leadership you will find student participation in Pre-Kindergarten programs has drastically increased. Accordingly, Texas, has become a national leader in providing access to high quality Pre-Kindergarten Programs that ensure students are school ready.
The New ADDition Foundation through partnerships takes active participation with H.I.S.D. under the Young Learners programs in preparing students for schools before they enter the classrooms.
The 4 core values to the right, reflect our vision and mission, as well as the beliefs about the role of philanthropy, and the impact we want this foundation to have. The core values guide what we do, why we do it, and how we do it. While many of them are fundamental to the way we operate, we will remain open to amending them as we grow and learn more about our work.

This is a family foundation driven by the interests and passions of the New ADDition Child Care Plus Learning Center Family. While we are flexible in our approach and mindset, we are committed to fulfill the unmet needs of inner-city youth in the United States.
We advocate–vigorously but responsibly–in our primary areas of focus that deal with nutrition, language barriers, education, and single parents assistance. We must be humble and mindful in our actions and words. We will seek and heed the counsel of outside voices.

Philanthropy plays an important but limited role, as education, science and technology have great potential to improve the mental and physical health of at risk youth living in the inner cities of the United States.

We are not creators, but use our funds to shape and mold what presently exists into something better—we use our influence to motivate others to act and implement responsible change.
Our focus is clear—and limited—and prioritizes some of the most neglected and overlooked issues facing our inner-city youth. We identify a specific point of intervention and apply our efforts against a theory of change. We take risks, make big bets, and move with urgency. We are in it for the long haul.

Meeting our mission—to increase opportunity and equity for those most in need…our youth—requires great stewardship of the money we have available. The future of our nation is in our youth and they deserve our utmost attention, love, and investment.
